The Sacramento Kings latest injury report lists De’Aaron Fox as questionable ahead of their matchup against the Boston Celtics.

The Boston Celtics kick off a two-game home stretch with the Sacramento Kings on Thursday. The Celtics are coming off a much-needed win in a showdown between both recent NBA Championship teams and will look to keep the momentum at home against the Kings.

De’Aaron Fox appeared on the injury report Friday morning with a glute injury, and the Kings are expected to be without him. Fox was seen participating in Kings’ shootaround earlier in the day, but it looks as though the star point guard will be unable to play in Friday’s game.

The Kings (18-19) have won five of their first six games under interim coach Doug Christie. They will visit the Celtics, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks as part of a tough three-game road trip after playing nine of their last 11 games at home.

In the Celtics' last 10 games, they are a .500 ball club with the same roster they won the title with last summer, by and large.

The reality is nobody fears the Celtics anymore. Opposing know they can win at the Garden, and are throwing various defenses to which Boston's offense can’t consistently respond.

The Boston Celtics 114-97 loss to the Sacramento Kings at TD Garden this past Friday (Jan. 10) night was as ugly as they come. The Celtics led the game at various points by as much as 9 points, but could not maintain sufficient focus to put away an 18-19 ball club without their best player on the court.

Boston will need to be vigilant to not look past the surging Kings, who have won 5 tilts in a row and are a better team than their record suggests.
