The offload of nearly 19,000 pounds is a result of six separate suspected drug smuggling off the coasts of Mexico and Central and South America.

The crew of United States Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) James offloaded more than 44,550 pounds of cocaine and 3,880 pounds of marijuana in Port Everglades in Florida on Wednesday (9 April).
