The Eagles will take on the Northeastern Huskies — the defending Beanpot champions — in the first round on Monday night. The Eagles have already taken on the Huskies earlier this season, beating them 3-0 at home before falling 4-2 to them at Matthews Arena.

The Boston College Eagles men’s hockey team won its sole game over the weekend, a 4-0 shutout victory over the UMass Lowell River Hawks. The Eagles’ success was highlighted by forward Ryan Leonard and goalie Jan Korec.

Monday night is the start of the 72nd Beanpot Tournament in Boston, when BC will take on Northeastern and NU will play Harvard at TD Garden. Northeastern has won two straight and five of the last six.
