Avengers: Doomsday is expected to deal with characters across parallel universes, meaning actors can play various roles. Though Chris Evans exited the franchise as Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, in Avengers: Endgame, there have been reports he’ll return as another character in the 2026 movie.

Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Doomsday” has started production.

Kicking off with the simple caption, “take a seat”, the mysterious live stream on the Marvel Studios' X account opened with a fold-out chair with "Chris Hemsworth" written across it being placed into focus. 15 minutes later, the camera slowly panned right to reveal an identical chair - but with the name “Vanessa Kirby”.
