A new design ethos was on full display at the Tesla Robotaxi event, offering some not-so-subtle hints of what to expect from a future sub-$30,000 Tesla.

Along with the robotaxi, Tesla is expected to provide updates on its humanoid Optimus robot — after all the event is titled “We, Robot,” a reference to Isaac Asimov’s seminal work I, Robot .
