While Tee Higgins put up numbers during Week 5 of his fifth season in Cincinnati, his days in a Bengals uniform may be numbered. After the Bengals applied the franchise tag on Higgins in February, he requested a trade because he and his representation couldn't reach an agreement on a long-term contract extension with the franchise.

Case in point, ESPN’s Ben Solak recently wrote that he would like to see Higgins traded to the Washington Commanders. That idea makes sense for Washington’s side: Jayden Daniels is a breakout rookie quarterback, and getting him a true No. 1 with the ample cap space would be fun for them.

There is a reasonable rationale for the team to get value for the star instead of letting him walk this offseason
