Drugstore chain Rite Aid is filing for bankruptcy again, eight months after emerging from a previous Chapter 11 filing in September 2024.

More than 1,100 Rite Aid employees throughout New Jersey can expect to lose their jobs starting in the next few weeks as the company goes through another bankruptcy filing. The Philadelphia-based retailer has announced that layoffs will begin on a rolling basis starting on June 4.
