Wildlife officials in Scotland say one of four lynx thought to have been released illegally in the Scottish Highlands has died the day after it was captured.

Four lynx “illegally released” into the Scottish Highlands have been captured by park rangers in a rollercoaster two-day rescue effort.

Two wild cats were 'deliberately abandoned' in the Cairngorms on Friday, and despite being captured, one sadly died.
