Another celebrity-owned chicken restaurant is opening in North Texas. Chicken Guy!, founded by chef Guy Fieri and restaurateur Robert Earl, opens in Dallas' Preston Hollow neighborhood on Feb. 6. According to the restaurant's website,

DALLAS - A new chicken restaurant from celebrity chef Guy Fieri is opening its doors in this week. Chicken Guy! is opening its first ever Texas location on Thursday, Feb. 6 in Preston Hollow Village. This is the first of multiple Chicken Guy! restaurants planned to come to North Texas.

Chicken Guy! is opening its first Texas location in Dallas this Thursday. The franchise, founded by Guy Fieri and Robert Earl, plans to expand further in the area.

The restuarant is complete with a signature condiment mascot, the Sauce Slinger, who roams the dining room for an extra saucy experience.

You would think that following that infamous Pete Wells review in the New York Times back in 2012, Guy Fieri would steer away from opening a restaurant in Times Square and, yet, here we are: the Food Network star is gearing up to launch his new fast-casual Chicken Guy! concept at 138 West 42nd Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue this Friday.
