FOND DU LAC – Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office on Monday released the name of the town of Taycheedah man who died after the UTV he was riding on fell through the ice on Lake Winnebago Saturday. The man was identified as Clay Creighton, 67.

Authorities in Fond du Lac County provided an update on the incident where a man died after going into Lake Winnebago on a UTV. According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, the 67-year-old man from Taycheedah who died on February 1 was Clay Creighton.

Unfamiliarity with where the active crack was, which was marked with downed Christmas trees, appears to be a factor in the crash.
