A Paradise Valley man has regained his ability to sculpt thanks to deep brain stimulation that eased his Parkinson's tremors.
Four years ago he discovered a passion for pen and ink drawing which he said has, over time, reduced the tremor in his left hand. "Taking up art was the final piece of the jigsaw for me," he said.
It is extremely distressing to watch someone succumb to an uncontrollable hand tremor. Simple tasks become frustrating and impossible, and a person previously capable becomes frail and vulnerable.
