A First Alert Weather Day remains in effect for Wednesday, April 30. The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded the northern half of East Texas to an Enhanced Risk (Level 3/5) for severe storms, with a Slight Risk (Level 2/5) favoring our central counties and a Marginal Risk (Level 1/5) extending south into Deep East Texas.

On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to mirror those of Tuesday, hovering between the upper 70s and low 80s, with a chance of storms in the forecast. Storm activity is anticipated to occur mainly before 7 a.m. and again from 4 to 9 p.m. Heavy rainfall and strong winds are the expected impacts of Wednesday’s storms.
