A First Alert Weather Day is in effect Tuesday night through Wednesday in North Texas. A strong line of storms is expected to move through northern and western counties of North Texas overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Scattered severe storms with hail, damaging winds and flooding will be the primary threat.

A tornado watch is in effect for parts of northern Texas until 11 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth.

The National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office has confirmed at least 10 tornadoes touched down in North Texas on April 19. In a Tuesday afternoon update, the NWS said its damage assessment teams tracked tornado tracks in five counties: Erath, Hood, Jack, Montague and Parker. These tornadoes range from ratings of EF-0 to EF-2.
