A British team has won first place in the Aqualunar Challenge for developing a system that purifies water extracted from lunar ice.
Dry ice is a block of frozen carbon dioxide. It has a surface temperature of -109.3 degrees Fahrenheit, and if you place it in a bowl of warm water, then this accelerates the sublimation process.
If the ice is already wet, some of the points are smoother so not as many bubbles form. A water molecule is made up of one oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms. Water makes up about 95% of most sodas.
