The City of Toronto and emergency services in the Greater Toronto Area are warning of flooding and road closures on Thursday after heavy rain hit part of southwestern Ontario.

NORTH MIDDLESEX – A driver suffered serious injuries Thursday morning after crashing on a section of road washed out after heavy overnight rain in this rural area northwest of London.

Police say a man was struck and killed on Easton Road in Warrington during Monday's storm that brought over an inch of rainfall to most of

Cork Street was flooded just east of Burdick Street due to blocked storm drains. A News 8 crew on the scene saw a van partway in the ditch in about 3 feet of water. A police officer helped the driver out of the vehicle and she was unharmed.

Drivers urged to exercise caution as heavy rain prompts traffic warning between MO-210/Armour Road/Exit 6 and I-29 & I-35 Junction (North) on I-29/I-35. The impacted road section is 1.18 miles long. The traffic alert was released Wednesday at 5:19 a.m., and the latest update regarding this incident was made available on Wednesday at 5:22 a.m.

On Monday at 9:27 a.m. a flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 11:30 a.m. for Franklin and Lawrence counties.
