Punjab’s archaeology is stuck in the 1950s. It’s time to excavate it from internal politicsand figurines along with a plethora of Harappan pottery. He also excavated a Harappan cemetery at the site. Equally remarkable was the evidence collected from the succeeding cultural period.
A senior officer of the state archaeology department told The Indian Express Monday now the department will take all steps to protect the site, including fencing it and deploying a guard there.
