(MENAFN- Costa Rica News) Since the early past Tuesday morning, the Poás Volcano crater has been experiencing explosions every two minutes, accompanied by columns reaching up to 500 meters in height.

Officials announced that Uekahuna overlooks as well as the Crater Rim Trail between Uekahuna and Kilauea Overlook have been temporarily closed as a result of the ongoing eruption of the volcano.
