The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has submitted a revised design for a proposed temple — complete with a shorter steeple — in hopes of winning approval from a Texas town.
The Shakopee Board of Adjustment and Appeals last week gave the project the go-ahead when the church asked for a conditional use permit to build the addition and a nearly 52-foot-tall steeple.
