American Idol season 24 has been renewed, but will season 4 winner Carrie Underwood return as a judge alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan?

Carrie Underwood, 42, went back to her “American Idol” roots for the season’s “iconic Idol moments” special on Monday night. For the occasion, the singer — who is now a judge for the singing competition show — chose the exact same dress she wore in 2005 when she won Season 4.

Underwood beat Bo Bice to win the show and is now serving as a judge on Season 23 following Katy Perry ‘s departure. She threw it back to her own Idol days on the Sunday, April 27, episode, as well, when she performed “Alone” by Heart. It was one of her own most iconic performances from the show.
