Xbox announced today that a new remaster of the original Gears of War, first released on Xbox 360 in 2006, will be launching on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and for the first time in the franchise’s history,

While there’s no trailer yet, the reception to Gears of Wars: Reloaded on PS5 has been humongous. On social media website X (formerly Twitter ), PlayStation’s post about the game attracted over 53k likes. By comparison, the same post by Xbox mustered just 14k likes, although Sony does have more than double the number of followers.

Reloaded, a remastered version of the series’ debut title, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will be released on August 26, 2025, and will join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as well as PC Game Pass on Day 1.
