An internal memo to all Student and Exchange Visitor Program personnel, which falls under ICE, shows an expanded list of criteria for ICE to terminate foreign-born students’ legal status in the U.S., including a “U.S. Department of State Visa Revocation (Effective Immediately).” It was filed Monday night and dated April 26.

All international students at Northeastern University who had their visas revoked earlier this month have since their status restored, the university told Boston 25 News on Tuesday.

In April, the Trump administration without explanation abruptly revoked the visas of roughly 1800 international students, including five studying in Idaho. Over the weekend, their status was reinstated.
