The No. 1 Texas Longhorns (39-9, 19-6) were taken off the field in the bottom of the fifth inning of game two of their three-game series against the Florida Gators (34-17, 12-13) due to a weather delay with lightning in the area.

Following an inning that featured an untimely error and three timely hits, Florida has gained an early advantage at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Gators scored on Ashton Wilson's RBI single and Landon Stripling's RBI double. One of those runs were credited as unearned because of an error by Texas second baseman Adrian Rodriguez.

LSU baseball ’s Chris Stanfield doubled down the left field line with two outs. Steven Milam started the hit on first and was sent home where he was thrown out by a healthy margin. A&M kept the game tied, 1-1, and in the next inning it retook the lead on a triple from Ben Royo followed by an RBI single from pinch hitter Hayden Schott.
