Entire north and northwest India is shivering under extreme cold wave conditions for the past few days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), dense fog and cold day conditions are likely to continue over parts of northwest and central India during the next two days and improve thereafter.

As temperatures in Delhi dip by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius, the IMD warns of a cold wave gripping northwest India. Dense fog is expected to disrupt visibility, affecting travel. The homeless find refuge in temporary shelters as the city faces inclement weather conditions.
