Genki has allegedly been misusing Nintendo’s trademarks and misleading customers about its Switch to accessories.

Earlier this year, as anticipation was building for the soon-to-be-revealed Switch 2, accessory manufacturer Genki turned heads when it casually revealed an alleged mockup of the upcoming Nintendo console at CES, showing off its upcoming accessories for the system. Now, Nintendo is suing Genki for trademark infringement and false advertising.

In the post on Twitter from Team Genki, the accessory manufacturer stated that it "can't comment in detail" on the matter, though it is continuing to make preparations to fulfil orders and showcase products at the upcoming PAX East. "We're proud of the work we've done, and we stand by the quality and originality of our products," the company noted.
