We knew that the Michigan football team was going to go after offensive linemen in the transfer portal, and they got one here. Lawrence Hattar is the second offensive lineman in this transfer portal class as the Wolverines also landed a commitment from Cal Poly transfer Brady Norton.

Ohio State football is going to have to revamp its offensive line as another key option is hitting the transfer portal.

Michigan has received a commitment from Ferris State transfer offensive lineman Lawrence Hattar, he announced on Sunday. Hattar, a Livonia native who played for Livonia Churchill High School, spent the last four seasons at Ferris State and redshirted his freshman year in 2021.

Lawrence Hattar was not a big name in the transfer portal, whatsoever. The Livonia, Mich. native has played for Division II Ferris State since 2022, but at 6-foot-5, 335 pounds, he’s a big body at a position of need along the interior offensive line.
