The lesser of the forest fires has been completely contained, while the second, larger fire is around 83% contained.

The DCNR reports the Hammonds Rocks Fire is 100% contained. The Thompson Hollow Fire has increased to 80% contained.

"For safety reasons, we are encouraging the public to stay away from charred forested areas for the time being," DCNR said.
