Atlus, brings the successful formula of the Persona series to a medieval fantasy world. The game introduces archetypes, which function as classes, allowing players to equip them on different characters.

There are a lot of activities to do in Metaphor: ReFantazio, with many aiding with boosting your stats (Courage, Wisdom, Tolerance, Eloquence, and Imagination). In the Persona series, you may cater your activities to boost one particular stat.

Metaphor: Refantazio is a spiritual successor to the Persona series which, just like Atlus' previous JRPG franchise, contains mythical entities that grant the player supernatural powers.
