Asus just revealed new Asus Zenbook A14, which looks like the best MacBook Air alternative for the Windows crowd we’ve seen in quite some time.

Asus’ new featherweight laptop is aiming to be the latest Windows rival to the Apple MacBook Air. The Asus Zenbook A14 is a new thin and light productivity machine announced at CES 2025 sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor for a claimed battery life of up to 32 hours and a weight of just 2.

That was the Zenbook A14, a system that ASUS had joked about calling the Zenbook Air. That name would have been fitting: It weighs less than 2.2 pounds (or 1kg), half a pound lighter than Apple's smallest MacBook Air.

The $1,100 Asus Zenbook A14 weighs in at 2.2 pounds and is thin enough that I fear I may snap it with my fingers. The Zenbook S 14 from 2024 clocks in at around 2.8 pounds to compare apples to apples.
