CLEVELAND, Ohio — James Karinchak has signed a minor league deal with the White Sox as he attempts to make it back to the majors after missing the 2024 season with a shoulder injury.
The White Sox reassigned Karinchak to minor-league camp Wednesday. Karinchak was erratic during Cactus League play, striking out 11 but also walking nine and allowing eight runs over eight innings.
James Karinchak took over in the seventh, and he could not preserve the tie. After a one-out double by Daz Cameron and a single by Luis Vázquez, the Tides led, 2-1, and they led the rest of the way.
