A heat advisory and Next Weather Alert have been issued for parts of Southern California as a high-pressure system is expected to bring triple digits.

A heat advisory was issued by the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA on Saturday at 2:43 a.m. in effect until 9 p.m. The advisory is for Santa Clarita Valley, Southern Salinas Valley, Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range,
