A heat advisory and Next Weather Alert have been issued for parts of Southern California as a high-pressure system is expected to bring triple digits on Saturday.

A heat advisory was issued by the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA on Saturday at 2:43 a.m. in effect until 9 p.m. The advisory is for Santa Clarita Valley, Southern Salinas Valley, Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range,

Southern California airports also set records for May 10. LAX hit 80 (previous record of 79 set in 1996) and the Hollywood Burbank Airport reached 101 (previous record of 95 set in 1981), according to Ryan Kittell, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service.
