SAN FRANCISCO — Neither Steph Curry nor Draymond Green will play in the Warriors’ Sunday night preseason matchup against the Detroit Pistons, paving the way for more opportunities down Golden State’s roster. “We’ve got a deep team, and this will open up a lot of minutes,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said. “Excited to see them all play.”

Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry has made three NBA preseason appearances. In 45 minutes of action, Curry has 28 points, seven assists and four rebounds. It has been an uncharacteristically cold shooting stretch for Curry who has shot just 39.1 percent on 23 field goal attempts.

Sunday’s preseason matchup with the Detroit Pistons is another valuable opportunity for the Golden State Warriors’ surplus of viable rotation players to make a positive impression on Steve Kerr and the coaching staff.
