Tuesday's fatal shooting is the most recent in Detroit. On Monday, a 23-year-old Detroit man was fatally shot by state police troopers after he allegedly fired at them on the city's west side. A trooper was hit in the lower back, leg, and vest and injured.

One woman was killed and another man was injured in a shooting on Detroit's east side, DPD confirmed on Tuesday morning.

A Michigan State Police trooper was injured, and a suspect was killed after a shooting on Detroit's west side early Monday morning. The shooting happened at around 4:30 a.m. Monday in the 20200 block of Murray Hill Street near 8 Mile Road.
