A Passaic County man was arrested after allegedly crashing his car, attempting to flee the scene while intoxicated, and abandoning a child in the vehicle, police said Wednesday. Seyon Rodriguez, 39, of Pompton Lakes, faces a string of charges including aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child, both as second-degree crimes.

Three people were injured after being ejected from a stolen car in Cumberland County, New Jersey, on Tuesday, state police said.

Four people, all of them children or teenagers, were killed, and several others were injured on Monday when a car crashed through an after-school center in Chatham, Ill., a village just south of Springfield, the State Police said.
