The program name, AMBER, stands for “America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response.” The acronym is a tribute to 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, who was kidnapped while riding her bike in Arlington, Texas, and murdered.

Skylar Beach was last seen in the 500 block of NW Avenue G in Hamlin at 4 p.m. on April 30, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The AMBER Alert issued for Skylar Beach has been discontinued. Texas authorities say she was found alive and safe.
