A cold front arrives at the very start of next week bringing even cooler conditions and more quiet weather. Daytime highs most of the week will be in the 60s to low 70s with morning lows mostly in the 40s.

The next few days will remain very hot across South Texas, but relief from the heat is possible next week as a cold front aims for Texas.

The weather service is expecting what forecasters called a “potent” cold front to move through Alabama next week. Bonus: There is no risk for the severe weather that usually accompanies a strong front. Then there could be a reinforcing shot of Canadian air on Tuesday.
