Iran’s president says his country will continue talks over its rapidly advancing nuclear program but will not withdraw from its rights because of U.S. threats.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi expressed Iran’s willingness to achieve a just and balanced agreement over its nuclear program within the framework of the NPT, saying any deal must respect Tehran’s nuclear rights and guarantee the comprehensive and verifiable lifting of sanctions.

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country favors negotiations with the United States to avoid war, but rejected what he described as threats by President Donald Trump.
