Just 112 steps to fantastic views around the city. There is also a Tintoretto room where his work is displayed. 9€ entry is a fair price.Full review by Reservarlden

Hello All so it appears that the staircase is now open? I have a trip planned in mid May. Can you go without a tour and just pay the entrance fee (any idea of what that is?) upon arrival (after hunting for it of course - from what i read it is not that easy to find :) but then all of Venice from what I have read will be a treasure hunt for me). Thanks all for your replies!

Yes you can visit independently, entry fee of about 3 or 4 euro from memory can be paid upon entry
