Questions & answers

Q:
Are there large beach umbrellas to rent while on the beach??
A:
I haven't seen any umbrellas for rent. There are bicycle, paddleboard, kayak and segway rentals at Patriot Tours and provisions. This vendor does not list umbrella rentals
Q:
Are there public grills on beach
A:
Greetings we didn't notice any grills on the beach.
Q:
Is there a closing time for this beach? Are you allowed to go out on the beach evening hours/after dark?
A:
I imagine it closes at dusk, though I have seen people walking on the beach at night. Swimming at night is never wise.
Q:
Are dogs allowed at Yorktown beach ?
A:
Not really sure. I do not remember seeing any signage preventing it. There is signage about climbing on the rocks and it seems police are strict about that.
Q:
Are there any waves at all to boogie board. Not looking for huge but atleast skmething the kids can ride on. Thanks..
A:
No waves. It's on the York River, not the bay or ocean.
