I agree with all the other answers. We were just at Cuates y Crete’s and only paid for our food and drinks. Others were just drinking, so you don’t even need to eat!

Very safe. Early in the morning, during the day and in the evenings too. Don't know about about late evenings, 1 am etc, but never felt unsafe, ever. I was with my mother, my daughter and granddaughter. Lots of tourists and others around, no places to be dragged or accosted. Wouldn't have hesitated to go at 1 am either. Well lit.
