A great park, especially if you like walking. The greenhouse had beautiful orchids and others flowering plants. The public restrooms were very clean. Watch out for goose poop as you walk by the ponds.Full review by spiwakj

Washington park used to be where coal was strip mined for the city of Springfield. Over the past century, it has been groomed into a beautiful park in a beautiful part of town.Full review by K1513KDal

Hi, the entire park has a walking trail on the road. It is partitioned by a paint line. It measures approx 2miles from the entrance, around the park, and back to where you began. There are some unpaved trails, but if you are interested in getting your walking in, stay on the road.
