The meerkat mother had the first baby but it was taken by a bird unfortunately. The day we were there the new baby meerkat was born that day. We saw the mother carrying it in its mouth to the outside tube then back to the den 2mins later. At the sanctuary they were hoping this new born was going to be looked after better by the mother. I hope this helps

Your visit is as long as you want it to be. We visited it with our 9 year old grandson and we stayed around 2 hours. I spent a lot of time photographing the owls, meer cats etc. The flying display lasted nearly 50 minutes 2 Owls and Kookaburra, very entertaining. The Cafe/Tea shop is very nice and with friendly staff. There was no rush to get us to leave, we had arrangements elsewhere
