Kirovohrad Oblast, also known as Kirovohradshchyna, is an oblast in central Ukraine. The administrative center of the oblast is the city of Kropyvnytskyi. Its population is 903,712. It is Ukraine's second least populated oblast, behind Chernivtsi.
