The Huntington Beach Pier is a great spot to catch the sunset with plenty of food spots nearby. Enjoy good weather year-round. Surfers welcome.

Must see. It was windy but a unique view over the water and of the surfers. Particularly scenic at sunset. More of just a scenery activity. For shopping, check out the nearby shops across the street. Full review by traveler5005

For the closest ones to the pier, walk down the stairs from the pier to the sidewalk next to beach where bike racks are and go left on the sidewalk for about 3 minutes. They are in ok condition, very wet because people track water and sand in there when they change their swimsuits before leaving for home.
The dog beach is located at the intersection of Goldenwest St. and Pacific Coast Hwy. It's one mile north of the pier. All dogs are welcome so be mindful of non-social dogs.
