We did not have any problem neither in Sanliurfa nor on the motorway. There were many checks on the motorway, but we felt safer despite small delays.

THanks , Thanks for the info. I looked at flights from Izmir but seemed very expensive, we are on a boat so I guess we could fly from a number of places to sunlurfia. I shall investigate.
